Implementation of Green Hotels in Supporting Sustainable Tourism in the Hospitality Industry

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the implementation of green hotels that have been carried out in several hotels in an effort to support sustainable tourism. This study uses a literature review method to examine the implementation of sustainable tourism practices in environmentally friendly hotels. The main data sources come from scientific articles, industry reports, and case studies published between 2002 and 2024. The analysis process involves evaluating the various practices implemented, their impact on the SDGs, and the challenges faced by hotels in sustainability efforts. The results of the study show that the implementation of 7 green hotel indicators in Indonesia is still minimal, hotels that implement them are focused on West Java and Bali.
