Abstract

This study explores the impact of real-time feedback and monitoring tools on the efficiency of remote independent contractors at Consumer Fusion. A pre-intervention survey revealed that contractors faced challenges in time management, focus, and task prioritization, primarily due to the lack of real-time feedback. The study aimed to assess contractors' knowledge of these tools, their efficiency, and the relationship between these factors while developing a management plan. A quantitative action research design was used, with 100 remote contractors from the Philippines sampled in the pre-intervention phase and 31 in the post-intervention phase. A self-made questionnaire assessed knowledge of the system, while an adapted questionnaire measured efficiency. Descriptive statistics and the Pearson Correlation Coefficient were used for data analysis. Results indicated that respondents had strong knowledge of real-time monitoring tools, particularly in organizing daily tasks. They also reported high efficiency, especially in maintaining focus. A moderate positive correlation was found between knowledge of the tool and work efficiency. The study concluded that technological literacy plays a crucial role in optimizing remote work performance. It recommends that organizations provide targeted strategies to enhance remote contractors’ focus, persistence, and proactivity through effective use of monitoring tools.
