Аннотация

This article analyzes local dietary practices in Sia, located in the Kwilu Province of the Democratic Republic of Congo, and their impact on malnutrition, particularly among children and pregnant women. Malnutrition is identified as a major public health issue, exacerbated by cultural, economic, and environmental factors.

Through a rigorous documentary methodology, this study compiles data from several academic sources, including PubMed, The Lancet, and Mendeley. Findings reveal a high dependency on low-nutrition staple foods and significant micronutrient deficiencies.

The discussion emphasizes the need for integrated strategies, such as nutritional education and the adoption of sustainable agricultural practices, to improve family nutrition. The article concludes by stressing the importance of developing solutions tailored to local dynamics to effectively combat malnutrition.
