An Asymmetry Dominant Point Detection Method

Аннотация

This paper proposes a new method for detecting dominant points. We use the region of asymmetric support at each point on the curve to estimate its curvature. The point with the local maximum smooth curvature is then located as the principal point on the curve. The proposed algorithm requires no input parameters when determining the asymmetric support region. Experimental results show that the new method is effective in detecting dominant points.
