Abstract

This investigation examined how integration of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in education has gained significant attention worldwide, as it has the potential to enhance teaching and learning processes. It aims at exploring the leverage benefits of incorporating ICT in the delivery of Ghanaian language lessons. The Ghanaian education system places emphasis on promoting the preservation and usage of local languages alongside English. The investigation established that ICT tools and platforms can leverage students’ engagement, enhance learning outcomes, promote teacher effectiveness, and contribute to the overall quality of language education. It was revealed that, it provides valuable insights for educational policymakers, curriculum developers, and teachers in their efforts to incorporate ICT effectively in language instruction. The descriptive design was the foundation of the investigation. Observation, focus group discussion and interview were adapted to elicit significant information for the analysis. One hundred (100) participants were the participants of the study. Purposive sampling was used to extract information needed for the purpose. Primary source of data was used and the approached for the investigation was qualitative. The theoretical principle that buttressed this investigation was Puentedura, R. (2006). SAMR model stands for Substitution, Augmentation, Modification, and Redefinition.
